Lampwork or flamework is defined as a type of glass work that uses a gas fueled torch to melt rods and tubes of clear and colored glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing or shaping with tools and hand movements. This is also known as Torchworking. Lampworking is used to create artwork including figurines, marbles, beads and much more. It is also used to create scientific instruments, as well as glass models of of animals and botanicals. Here are a few examples:

My specialty work is exclusive and is made with RECYCLED wine bottles. "I'm only one of a few people in the world who uses this medium." Early lampworking was done in the flame of an oil lamp with the artist blowing air into the flame with a pipe. You can see more at my website:
